Client Love Notes

“I am so grateful for the support Dayna provided me during my pregnancy, labour and postpartum period. I didn’t realize how much I would need her guidance and encouragement with this being my fourth baby but after going 10 days past my guess date and having a precipitous labour I felt like a first time mom. Dayna kept me calm and talked me through making the best decisions for me and my baby. I had an amazing delivery and a very smooth postpartum period and I thank her for playing such a key role in making that happen.”

I don’t even know where to begin, but I can easily say I would not have made it through my VBA2C without Dayna by my side.

After meeting Dayna and to find out she is a VBAC advocate and been through it herself, I knew she was the right fit for us.

From pre to post pregnancy she was constantly sending me tips and tricks and checking in. Any time I had a question she was quick to answer and helped calm my nerves.

During labour there wasn’t a moment she wasn’t there by my side coaching me through every contraction and cheering me on. When it came to pushing, while still helping me physically, she was beautifully capturing the entire birth.

I GOT MY VBA2C and I am forever grateful to Dayna for helping me get there.

I recommend Dayna without hesitation to anyone looking for an educated and passionate support person through their journeys.

"I don’t even know how to find the words to express my gratitude for the support I received from Dayna but I’ll try!  From the moment I first spoke to Dayna on the phone I just had a good feeling about her.  When we met her in person my fiancé & I both felt a connection & knew she would be a good fit to provide the support we wanted as I was attempting a VBA2C, she did not disappoint!  In the weeks leading up to labour Dayna was very attentive & checked in regularly with me, sending me tips, suggestions, as well as answering all my questions & helping ease my anxieties.  I was 8 days overdue when I was pleasantly surprised to go into labour naturally (I’d only ever experienced scheduled cesareans, no labor or inductions).  Dayna stayed in regular contact with us until we all decided it was time for her to head over.  When she arrived she immediately attended to me, helping me get more relaxed but also helping me get into different positions, move around, all while keeping me calm.  I laboured at home for 24 hours & would not have made it that long at home without her help.  My labour turned into a 65.5 hour process to which Dayna was a constant support.  When it was time to push, Dayna, my fiancé & midwife were pumping me up so much that the energy in the room was unreal.  All while providing constant support Dayna was able to capture my dream birth via some beautifully real & raw photos, the fact that I achieved my VBA2C just made the images captured that much more special!  The support & advocating Dayna provided me was above & beyond my expectations, my fiancé & I are forever grateful!  Even following the birth Dayna checked in daily with both of us, she even gave me a much needed hair trim at my postpartum visit, talk about women taking care of women, exactly how pregnancy, birth & postpartum should be!  I would recommend Dayna to anyone looking for doula support especially VBAC mommas".

“We were lucky enough to come into contact with Dayna purely by chance - the Doula we had agreed to work with had an unchangeable commitment the evening we went into labour (which was 9 days before our due date), and much to her credit she reached out to Dayna on very short notice to fill the role. Dayna showed up right as the labour was getting very challenging and intense, and guided us, with calm and care, through the most gruelling and stressful phase and into the transition and final pushes until our baby boy was born. She then captured a few of these life-changing moments beautifully in photos, which will be a treasured souvenir for life.
Dayna's empathy and ability to read her client's needs (in our case, even immediately after meeting us!) makes her a great Doula, and one we would never hesitate to recommend.”

"I hired Dayna as my doula for my second birth after not using one for my first and the difference was like night and day.

My original birth plan was for a VBAC and she was my biggest advocate. She was always there to talk me through my anxieties and reassure me I could do it. And in the end when I changed my mind and opted for a repeat caesarean, she was supportive and comforting.

She ensured I knew my rights as a patient throughout my stay at the hospital and that nurses explained things to me in detail before I provided consent. She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. She even took the time to capture those first moments with my daughter on camera.

Dayna is educated, knowledgeable and passionate about giving women the tools and confidence they need to have the birth they envision. I am 100% sure if I had her advocating for me during my first birth I never would have had a cesarean."

I will recommend Evergreen Doula without hesitation to anyone looking for an incredible support person through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum journey.
